Vintage Minnesota
Sometimes you’re record digging in Portland, OR and you find this incredible early rock n roll 45 and then you look up the artist and find out they’re from your home state of Minnesota. That happened to me this week. Actually BOTH sides of this record are killer!
Johnny Jay is from Duluth. This record is from 1957 and was recorded after Johnny has made his way to Nashville. He eventually moved back to Minnesota, as so many of us natives do.
